Honest work.
Crochet patterns, fully written on the page with clear, honest instructions.

Three deliberate choices.
The easiest way to understand patterncrochet is what's missing - what we deliberately chose not to build into this platform.
The page is the pattern.
Every pattern lives in full on the page - materials, abbreviations, photos, step-by-step instructions, and common-mistake fixes.

Read openly. Make openly.
Bookmark the page, send it to a friend, come back next week to pick up where you left off.
Honest instructions.
Every pattern we publish is written clearly so you can focus on your stitches, not on deciphering steps.
From sketch to published.

Imagine
An idea sketches in a notebook - a shape, a color, a feeling.
Make
Crochet it by hand, remaking it as many times as it takes.
Photograph
Step images are captured to support the written instructions and help readers spot common mistakes.
Write
Document every step, abbreviation, and common mistake in plain words.
Test
Readers try it. We listen. We rewrite where it stumbled.
Who writes the patterns.
patterncrochet is a small independent studio. Every crochet pattern, including stitch counts, abbreviations, and step-by-step instructions, is written and tested in-house before it is published.
The maker: read more about how the patterns are designed, photographed, and test-read on the maker profile.
Contact:/contact. We read every email and reply as soon as we can.
How patterns are tested.
- Originality: every pattern is designed in-house. We do not republish other designers' patterns and we do not adapt them without explicit permission.
- Testing: each pattern is worked from the written instructions before it is published, and the materials list reflects the yarn weight and hook that actually made the sample.
- Corrections: reader-reported errors are reproduced, fixed, and republished as quickly as we can. The "Last updated" date on each pattern reflects the most recent correction.
- Sources: stitch terminology follows US conventions throughout. Conversion notes for UK readers are inline where relevant.
- Affiliations: we are not currently sponsored by any yarn brand. Where we recommend a yarn, it is because we tested with it.

- with care,
Every pattern starts with a single skein.
Pick one, save it for a quiet afternoon, and come back with a finished piece.
